Our client is a leading tier one main contractor. Due to a growth in the portfolio of works they are looking to add an intermediate transport planner to their already established team.
Based out of the Southampton depot the portfolio of works ranges from project size of £200,000 up to £2 million. The works are concentrated around smaller highways projects, currently they are working on a roundabout installation, bus lane upgrades and a new integrated cycle path. Future projects will be similar to the current ones.
To be successful in this role you will need to have experience of;
-Producing high quality transport assessments and the relevant supporting documents
-Be comfortable with bid preparation
-Have demonstrable experience in software packages PICADY, ARCADY, LinSIG and TRANSYT.
Whilst the transport planning team is small, there is a requirement to work collaboratively with the wider team, therefore clear communication is paramount. You will be supporting the Project Managers in delivering projects for both the public and private sector, including undertaking analysis and assessment to support planning applications. You will also be responsible for carrying out all the technical aspects of the projects, including reports, drawings and calculations.
