Responsibilities

  • Active management of the investment structures/companies for the global real estate portfolio onbbehalf of the international investors during the whole investment life-cycle (buy-manage-sell)
  • Drive the ongoing (re-)financing and restructurings
  • Preparation of planning data and forecasts for investment structures/companies by using sound modelling techniques and monitor execution of planning results by means of regular KPI dashboards
  • Presentation of financial performance reports to ExCo and investors
  • Challenging the external investment partners and service providers on costs (legal, advisory,…), taxes, and corporate finance best practice
  • Controlling of investment structures/companies including external service providers, cash/capital management, auditors and tax advisors oversight
  • Steering liquidity position of property companies incl. ensuring timely funding. Determination of cash amounts to be distributed
  • Be the interface between internal asset- and investment management, external fund managers and co-investment partners and various internal stakeholders
  • Delivery of investment data (e.g. FV of participations) and returns into various financial reports including analysis and proper presentation of the output
  • Support in the acquisition phase of upcoming investments, such as negotiation of reporting requirements, specific accounting related requests, funding / capital calls, set up of the respective structures/companies and processes with internal and external counterparties
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as the real estate investment team, investor accountants and cash management in addition to external managers
  • Drive the ongoing development of the IPC area
  • Drive development and implementation of effective controlling tools, methods and procedures
  • Enhancement and implementation of reporting systems for investors and in-house stakeholders
  • Lead transformational and IT projects within the finance area as well as various ad-hoc projects to address pressing issues facing IPC

Requirements

  • Successfully completed study degree (ideally specialised in one of controlling, accounting, tax or finance)
  • 6+ years’ experience in a comparable position, e.g. audit company, controlling, investment management and/or accounting department
  • Above-average commitment and persistence in carrying out projects and tasks in a highly transformational environment
  • Solutions-oriented and positive mind-set; stamina; self-initiative
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office products, in particular Excel
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, especially IFRS
  • Spoken and written English skills at negotiation level are a prerequisite, 2nd European language would be an appreciated plus
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong communication skills and persuasive power
  • Used to work in a multicultural business environment
  • Knowledge in German and/or US GAAP would be an appreciated plus
  • Real estate experience would be an appreciated plus
