Project Finance Business Partner, Permanent, Full-Time, £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum, Birmingham.

My client is a leading national infrastructure business looking a Project Finance Business Partner for their central Birmingham office. The role will be to provide both assurance and challenge to the Area Delivery Managers aswell as their team, in relation to the financial elements of their project plan, value for money and corporate governance. The role will function as part of the finance team and manage all aspects of day to day finances.

Main duties of the role include:

  • Applying financial control, cost assurance, and providing analysis and planning where required
  • Providing guidance on the application of governance.
  • Challenging all risks and opportunities
  • Ensuring programme impacts are identified and any associated costs are recorded.
  • Overseeing the month end accounts
  • Provide budget variance commentary
  • Preparing the accounts and plan for year-end audit
  • Completing monthly analytics of contract spend and accruals held.
  • Providing justification/evidence of accounting adjustments to Auditors.
  • Reviewing and challenging forecasts and monitoring against Spending Review funding.
  • Leading Business Planning and forecasting process and providing guidance on planning principles.
  • Providing Workforce Actual costs and forecast information to inform programme cost estimates
  • Developing reporting on Access and Acquisition payments
  • Facilitate system changes required and reporting requirements for budget management
  • Representative on investment change panels
  • Challenging budget holders to achieve objectives

Requirements:

  • CCAB qualified accountant.
  • Knowledge of SAP / Oracle accounting systems or other similar ERP systems
  • Ability to work in collaboration with stakeholders/colleagues to achieve quality outcomes
  • Ability to use Excel spreadsheets to analyse large data sets and provide useful management information.

  • Experience in business planning and forecasting experience.
