This role involves working across 3 partners who form an energetic and lively Litigation and Employment law team. In particular, you will work with a well-respected partner in the Employment law & Health and Safety field. The work will involve a mix of employment relations and H&S advisory work, worksafe investigations as well as dealing with contentious personal grievances claims at mediation and the ERA stage. On the broader litigation front, you'll do work in relation to insurance claims, contractual disputes, public law and construction disputes. The structure of the team means there is good room for an intermediate level lawyer (at Solicitor or Senior Solicitor level) to advance their career quickly if they prove themselves.

You will be someone with:

  • 2+ years experience gained at a reputable firm in the litigation and/or employment law area;
  • A decent academic record;
  • Good legal research, drafting and advocacy skills; and
  • An ability to build a rapport with clients and work well in a team environment.

Perhaps you're a general litigation lawyer interested in doing some employment law work as a dynamic area with a strong human element. Likewise, you might be a specialist in the employment law area and enjoying the work but would also like to grow your skills in broader litigation work too.
