Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and operating reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) in accordance with GAAP and income tax basis
• Oversee bank reconciliation, construction/job cost accounting, and lease administration
• Oversee accounts receivable, including collections reporting and presentations, and accounts payable invoice coding
• Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly financial workpaper accruals (tax basis) for Controller review
• Compile quarterly financial presentations for senior management
• Review monthly and quarterly financial workpapers in GAAP and accrual tax basis prepared by the Financial Accountant
• Review and submit quarterly lender reports
• Prepare monthly cash projections and collections reports
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and property allocations
• Review construction activity and provide day-to-day support
• Review recovery escalation, prepaid schedules, straight-line rent, and pilot tax workpapers
• Manage year-end audit inquiries and budget data in Yardi
• Build financial models including NPV and cost-benefit analysis
• Forecast and project development project costs vs. income
• Support valuations for refinancing and debt acquisition
• Lead projects assigned by the Controller and assist with ad hoc requests across departments

Qualifications

• CPA or MBA is preferred
• 5+ years of real estate accounting experience
• Previous public accounting experience a plus
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accrual/tax basis reporting
• Experience with Yardi
• Ability to manage and develop junior staff
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

The fair market assumption for this role is between $145,000-$160,000.
