Bookkeeper

This position reports to the Controller and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting property management functions, and ensuring timely reporting across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoicing, tenant billing, and rent collection
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
• Support monthly close processes and assist with journal entries and financial reports
• Monitor property-level expenses and assist with CAM and real estate tax reconciliations
• Maintain organized accounting records to support audits and tax filings
• Communicate with tenants, vendors, and internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
• Support annual audit and tax preparation efforts in coordination with external accountants

Qualifications:

• An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• 3+ years of bookkeeping or property accounting experience, ideally in real estate
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines across multiple entities
• Effective communication skills and experience supporting property operations

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $55,000 and $65,000 annually.
