About the Role

Water Resources Civil Engineer

Position Summary

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Civil Engineer to support the design, analysis, and implementation of public and private water infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainable water solutions and collaborative, cross-disciplinary work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze water and wastewater systems, including conveyance, treatment, and storage facilities
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Assist with federal and state permit applications and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, feasibility studies, and environmental assessments
  • Write technical reports, studies, memos, and client correspondence
  • Perform site visits, field investigations, and construction observations
  • Review development plans for conformance with local utility and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, agencies, and subcontractors to advance project goals
  • Support project managers in maintaining client relationships and coordinating project deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Working knowledge of water/wastewater systems design and relevant engineering principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in water resources, civil site design, or municipal engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Familiarity with modeling software, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, or similar tools
