About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned properties, including variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and subsidiary ledgers for multiple entities.
- Oversee CAM reconciliations, rent roll reviews, and tenant account reconciliations.
- Assist with property-level budgeting and forecasting.
- Coordinate and support annual audits and lender reporting requirements.
- Ensure all accounting processes adhere to GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and senior leadership to provide financial insight.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years of property accounting experience, preferably in residential or multifamily assets.
- Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or similar property management/accounting systems.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and property-level accounting practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
