Senior Property Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for assigned properties, including variance analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, bank accounts, and subsidiary ledgers for multiple entities.
• Oversee CAM reconciliations, rent roll reviews, and tenant account reconciliations.
• Assist with property-level budgeting and forecasting.
• Coordinate and support annual audits and lender reporting requirements.
• Ensure all accounting processes adhere to GAAP and company policies.
• Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and senior leadership to provide financial insight.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of property accounting experience, preferably in residential or multifamily assets.
• Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, or similar property management/accounting systems.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and property-level accounting practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
