Accountant

A key accountant role has opened with a real estate developer based in Lower Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have experience with AIA billing, processing AP/AR, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities

·Set up subcontractor 1099's and any other IRS year-end requirements.

Prepare AIA Billing for subcontractors

·Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and all supporting documents

·Classify sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

·Prepare and process all AP invoices

·Draw up cash flow projections, as needed

·Supervise monthly accounting close

·Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation

·Check monthly accounting close

·Alternative special projects as requested

Requirements

·3+ Years of Experience in Accounting

·Advanced Quickbooks Enterprise experience, MS Excel, Outlook, and Paychex programs.

·Ability in Excel to create spreadsheets with basic formulas, AIA construction billing a plus.

·Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills with attention to detail are necessary.

·Experience in Construction or Real Estate Development is preferred

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $55000 and $65000 annually.
