Assistant Project Manager - Retail & Commercial Construction

Location: Long Island, NY (Nassau County)

Compensation: $70,000-$95,000 Base Salary + Benefits

Our client is a General Contractor specializing in retail and commercial construction projects around Long Island and throughout NYC. The company is headquartered in Nassau County and is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to assist the project team on retail and commercial construction projects. This position is an urgent hire.

Job Description:

• Assist Lead PM on all project related needs.

• Assist in sending and receiving of information associated with budgets, schedules, documentation, and trades.

• Help insure construction schedules are adhered and deadlines met.

• Assist in Coordinating material delivery logistics.

• Organizing, Sending, and Receiving of Construction documents including, but not limited to; Project Drawings, Change Orders, Work Orders, RFI's, RFQ's, Submittals, etc.

• Record meeting minutes when requested.

• Organize and coordinate sending of construction documents to project team and other any necessary persons.

• Regularly ensure that all entities of projects are kept up to date on new information.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial or retail construction experience.

• Hands on construction professional with a strong knowledge of project management software.

• Strong verbal, written, and facilitation skills.

• Excellent at meeting project deliverables.

• Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, & Architecture preferred or equivalent Construction Project Management experience.

Compensation: $70,000-$95,000 Base Salary + Benefits
