Title: Assistant Superintendent, Construction
Location: Manhattan, NY

Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in ground up residential multi-family projects. They are seeking a talented Assistant Superintendent to assist with new and existing construction.
The role:
Assist the superintendent with Ground Up Multi-family projects throughout NYC
Prepare the project plan, sequence, and schedule with the collaboration of field personnel.
Communicate with relevant stakeholders, and sub-contractors to keep them fully informed of progress and any significant technical problems/solutions and their effect on design, schedule and/or costs.
Assess and manage site safety and security
Help Project Super to manage all logistics for the job site including deliveries, material storage, security, protection of the public, and DOT plans
Maintain project schedule
Organize / maintain permit logs and track inspections to ensure proper close out
The person:
OSHA/DOB required Certificates (OSHA 30)
Minimum of 2-5 years of construction industry experience preferred.
Prefer candidate with 62 hour SST
Requisite working knowledge of Statutes and Codes
Relevant project experience within the ground up multi-family sector. (size & scope of relevance)
Proficiency with ProCore, Microsoft project, Excel, Asana, FieldLens, MS Outlook
The ability to establish documents and procedures that focus on site safety.
Strong leadership and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a team focused, proactive mentality.
Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.
A degree in Construction Management, Design or Engineering a plus.
