ABMS/BAS Project Manager has arisen with a well established Mechanical Contractor and Heating Equipment Service company with offices inWestchester and Long Island. This is a technical position, which will assume responsibilities for Building Automation Systems usingBMS programming and managing controls installation technicians. The right candidate has low voltage electrical, heating,HVAC experience and can manage technicians. Field experience is key.
Important systems: Johnsons controls, Siemens, Alerton.
Key Responsibilities:
Building Automation Systems (Sedona, Easy IO programming, HTML5, BACnet / Modbus/ TCPIP Networking)
Control Strategies programming using BMS programming (ladder Diagram, functional block Diagram, Sequential Flow Chart, Continuous Function control, etc
EMS Hardware/Computer Software Installation, Configuration, and setup
Design control panels based for Boiler applications across the Tri-state area
Manage controls installation technicians on a day-to-day basis
Monitor the installation of controls systems to ensure that all work is done in accordance with company standards and contractual agreements
Schedule installations crews and subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion of projects
Oversee system start-up and commissioning
Train customers on system operation following project completion
Act as a technical resource for controls technicians in the field
Interface with Operations, Vendors, and Customers throughout design, construction, and startup
Provide written construction updates to customers and engineers
Assist in managing purchasing, procurement, inventory and logistics
Consult with design engineers and subcontractors to assist in planning and organizing
Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers and City Agencies
Perform field surveys and assist with estimating of potential projects
Oversee system commissioning and QA/QC
Produce and submit documentation including project kickoff instructions, rebate applications, installation and commissioning reports, and project closeout documents
Required Experience:
5+ years of low voltage electrical, heating, and HVAC experience
Technical experience with control systems in Boiler industry
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Experience with EasyIO or Niagara controllers and programming
Estimating through commissioning of a project
Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 base salary
