Title: Senior Estimator

Location: New York, NY

Compensation: $130,000 - $180,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a veteran owned full service general construction firm, specializing in multi-faceted projects for public and private clients. Their extensive portfolio consists of interior build-outs, full renovations and ground up new construction ranging from $100,000 to $20M. They are seeking a talented Estimator to help them with a variety or professional estimating duties relayed to developing estimates and procuring work at their office in Manhattan NY.

The Role:

  • Prepare take-off & pricing for a variety of municipal construction opportunities, by reviewing, interpreting, and accurately estimating scope of work as outlined in project documents.

  • Pilot thorough analysis of drawings and specifications by researching selected products from a cost and constructability perspective.

  • Attend Pre-bid meetings where value engineering options and costs, as well as estimating productions and scheduling are provided and presented.

  • Perform detailed project cost estimate using company estimating software.

  • Compose and oversee all aspects of estimating including; pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, value engineering, subcontractor bidding and general conditions.

  • Work collaboratively with owner and Project Managers to ensure flawless project delivery.

The Person:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience estimating and in the construction industry.

  • Relevant project experience in both public and commercial work

  • Strong relationships with Sub-Contractors across the Tri-State, primarily in New York city.

  • Experience with estimating software, most specifically E-Gordian.

  • Ability to negotiate throughout the bidding process.

  • Team player with a positive attitude who can also work independently, is self-motivated and success driven, yet able and willing to take direction.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

$130,000 - $180,000 Base + Benefits + Bonus
