Senior Estimator

Well-Established privately owned General Contractor located in Central New Jersey is looking to hire a stand-alone Civil Senior Estimator with Mill and Paving Experience. The right candidate will be able to work closely with the team prior to estimates being sent out and be able to accept feedback.

The Role:

• Prepare take-off & Pricing for Mill and paving jobs
• Experience winning bids from $5-20m
• Perform detailed project cost estimate
• Compose and oversee all aspects of estimating including: Negotiated bids, budgets, value engineering and general conditions
• Thorough analysis of drawings and specifications by researching selected
• Maintain current information on trends in and changes to existing construction codes in order to ensure complete bids from subcontractors and material suppliers
• Ability to provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual cost.

The Person:

• 5+ years estimating in the Civil space with mill and paving experience.
• Highly proficient in industry software, B2W experience a plus
• Ability to work as a standalone estimator but also collaborate with the team.
• Willingness to grow with the company and help the team grow overtime.
• Must be able to commute daily to the office in Central NJ
