Title: Senior Estimator

Location: New York, NY

Compensation: $140,000 - $175,000 Base + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is an Industry-leading General Contractor in New York, NY specializing in interior commercial construction projects. They are seeking a talented Senior Estimator to help them with a variety or professional estimating duties relayed to developing estimates and procuring work at their office in Manhattan NY.

The Role:

• Prepare take-off & pricing for a variety of municipal construction opportunities, by reviewing, interpreting, and accurately estimating scope of work as outlined in project documents.
• Pilot thorough analysis of drawings and specifications by researching selected products from a cost and construct-ability perspective.
• Attend Pre-bid meetings where value engineering options and costs, as well as estimating productions and scheduling are provided and presented.
• Perform detailed project cost estimate using company estimating software.
• Compose and oversee all aspects of estimating including; pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, value engineering, subcontractor bidding and general conditions.
• Work collaboratively with owner and Project Managers to ensure flawless project delivery.

The Person:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience estimating and in the construction industry.
• Relevant project experience in commercial construction.
• Strong relationships with Sub-Contractors across the Tri-State area, primarily in New York city.
• Experience with estimating softwares.
• Ability to negotiate throughout the bidding process.
• Team player with a positive attitude who can also work independently, is self-motivated and success driven, yet able and willing to take direction.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

$140,000 - $175,000 Base + Benefits + Bonus

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
