Staff Accountant

A key Staff Accountant role has arisen with a Global Vertically integrated commercial real Estate Developer. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various Accounting functions under the Controller. This is an ideal role for a candidate looking to move from public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Performing monthly period-end procedures to close our books in a timely fashion

• Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure the accuracy of all financial reporting activities.

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule

• Assist with preparing quarterly financial statements of over 100 properties under management.

• Review company trial balance f

• Preparing top-end journal entries for accrual purposes

• Act as liaison between company and external auditors, lawyers, and banks

• Perform detailed critical analytics to identify the cause of fluctuations quarter-over-quarter

• Report to controller/CFO and assist with ad hoc projects as necessary

Requirements

• 1+ Years of Public Accounting experience

• Degree in Accounting or Finance

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to learn and multitask

• Experience with Yardi or MRI a PLUS

The Fair market Assumption for this role's base salary is between $75,000 and $85,000 annually.

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
