An HVAC Working Foreman role has arisen with a well-established Mechanical Contractor, with projects throughout New York City and the five boroughs, specializing in the installation and repair of HVAC systems for large scale commercial and residential buildings. This is a Prevailing Wage Opportunity.


Job overview: Act as a team leader in the execution of mechanical work safely and lead the field installation complete with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings and submittals

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee installation crews and subcontractors to ensure project quality, efficiency and completion
* Execute installations according to construction documents (drawings, specs, manuals)
* Attend site meetings with Architects, Customers, Engineers and City Agencies
* Consult with design engineers and subcontractors to assist in planning and organizing
* Establish and maintain excellent client relationships
* Train customers on equipment operation upon completion of project
* Periodically attend job walkthroughs to assist with estimating
* Estimate change orders for active projects
* Assist in purchasing and procurement

Required Experience:
* 5-years of field experience in commercial boilers and knowledgeable in: Steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, pumps, fuel code, plumbing and electrical.
* Must be detail oriented, team player and have good follow-up skills.
* Preferred but not required: Experience with Cogeneration (CHP), Chillers and General HVAC

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform tasks in all aspects of construction sites; ability to climb ladders and crawl as needed; ability to work from aerial lifts; ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000

The above salary range represents Cobalt's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards package this client provides to employees.
