Associate - Structural Engineer - Auckland

Ref: JN -022019-65126
Auckland, Auckland Central
Construction & Engineering, Civil & Structural
10th May 2019
Job Type

In recent times, we have been hearing a relatively consistent refrain in the market emanating from the first generation of entrepreneurial structural engineers who have founded and forged highly successful engineering consultancies over the past 20 or 30 years. The talk is around succession planning and the future direction of businesses as their owners seek exit strategies and the opportunity to step back from the cut and thrust towards retirement. We are working with both mid-sized businesses with multiple locations, as well as smaller dedicated boutiques where the long-term potential to have your name above the door is readily available.

These roles would suit high-achieving, ambitious, enterprising senior structural engineers likely to have at least 10 years' post-graduate experience and be CPEng qualified. You'll have prior experience in managing and motivating a team of engineers and senior engineers, driving quality of output and career development. You'll be technologically savvy, well networked and able to form strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You may be working for a smaller consultancy and be frustrated by your long-term prospects; or you may have cut your teeth in the corporate engineering world and be looking for a change of focus and the opportunity to influence strategy and take a direct share of profits. You may also have completed your training in New Zealand before developing your career internationally and now be looking for the right platform to return home.
