Position: Site Manager
Location: South East, must be prepared to travel in the region
Remuneration: 35,000 - 45,000 plus benefits including company car or allowance, 25 days holiday, defined contribution pension, discretionary bonus

A privately-owned specialist Civil Contractor is seeking to attract a Site Manager to its close knit, family orientated organisation.

As a Site Manager you will be responsible for leading the site delivery team in the successful delivery of the project, including overseeing the financial performance. Projects would typically be valued anywhere between £10k - £1m. You will generally find yourself working in and around Rivers, Canals, Coastlines and Lakes.

Key responsibilities will include:
-Maintaining a positive and productive working culture
-Training and Developing - identifying training requirements
-Day to day site management
-Health & Safety
-Ensure all environmental legislation is followed
-Ensure that all waste material generated is disposed of in accordance with the Licensing Regulations
-Compile Budget and record costs accurately
-Understand the contract programme, the critical path operations and the critical deliveries
-Understand the contract document, i.e. the form of contract, special conditions, the specification and the method of measurement
-Ensure applications are submitted on time and agreed in-line with contract documents
-Quality Control

To be successful in this role it is anticipated that you:
-Ideally hold an HNC or equivalent as a minimum in Civil Engineering, although this is not essential
-Have demonstrable experience in the civil engineering sector, ideally with exposure to dredging or river and coastal type of works
-Have demonstrable people management skills
-Hold suitable site qualifications such as CSCS Card, SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid etc
-Be prepared to travel throughout the South East
