Maintenance Technician (Build to Rent)

Based Manchester

Salary £18,000 - £21,000

We are proud to be partnering with our client, a property development company focusing on Build to Rent. I am seeking a Maintenance Technician for their brand new (and highly anticipated) BTR scheme in the Northern Quarter. The role is based on-site and the successful candidate will not only demonstrate strong capabilities for the role, but a genuine passion for customer service.

Customer Service

  • Deliver first class customer service and resident engagement Deliver first class customer service and resident engagement
  • Deliver effective working relationships with suppliers and contractors
  • Provide informed and accurate information to residents
  • Consistently deliver the Moda service standard to residents and all visitors to the building
  • Communicate in line with brand values and SLAs

Health & Safety/Compliance

  • Health & Safety - observe compliance and report issues
  • Ensure appropriate RAMs are provided for work on site
  • Daily checks of all on site plant and equipment
  • Daily/weekly/monthly checks or tests of M&E assets
  • Ensure access roads are kept clear and free of any hazards
  • Fire marshall or evacuation management support

Building Operations

  • Detailed knowledge of the building and apartments
  • Ensure the building and apartments present to highest standards at all times
  • Reporting any issues with cleaning of common parts
  • Signing contractors and suppliers in/out
  • Bin emptying on site
  • Ensuring segregation of commercial and residential waste and servicing
  • Maintain a key log for back of house sign out
  • To manage any goods or service vehicles entering the development


  • Routine maintenance to apartments and common parts including amenity areas, car parks and basement areas
  • Maintenance of the external perimeter of the development
  • Supporting waste management strategies
  • Replenishment of supplies to amenity spaces and management areas
  • Preparation of apartments for re let
  • Landscape & grounds maintenance as required
  • Low level window cleaning to common part windows as required
  • PAT testing, light bulb replacing and general minor maintenance
  • Furniture removal/relocation between apartments
  • Support all PPM testing

Experience with residential property will be a distinct advantage. Experience in a customer-facing role will also be advantageous.
