The portfolio spans a diverse range of complex projects across the education, healthcare, life sciences, residential, and corporate sectors, including both ground-up construction and major renovations. Projects typically range from $5M to $30M+, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and schedule execution.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to support business development and project acquisition efforts through detailed cost estimating, document review, and project buyout. This role works closely with the preconstruction and operations teams to deliver accurate, competitive bids and ensure a smooth transition from award to construction.
Requirements

10+ years of estimating or construction experience

Bachelor's degree required

Proficiency in OnCenter Takeoff, Timberline Estimating, and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
Bid / Proposal Phase

Download, organize, and maintain bid documents and logs

Maintain project files in accordance with company protocols

Review bid requirements (bonding, insurance, MWBE, etc.)

Collaborate with preconstruction team on safety, logistics, and phasing

Coordinate with design team; track RFIs and addenda

Attend pre-bid meetings as required

Develop subcontractor/vendor lists and solicit pricing

Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates

Develop preliminary construction schedules

Level subcontractor/vendor bids against scope

Finalize pricing and prepare bid/proposal submissions
Post-Bid / Award Phase

Respond to post-bid inquiries and clarifications

Develop value engineering and cost-saving options
-
Participate in post-bid meetings

Conduct detailed scope reviews and negotiate final pricing

Prepare and issue subcontracts and purchase orders

Maintain buyout logs and documentation
-
Coordinate project hand-off to operations team
