Maintenance Associate

Position Overview

Join a leading real estate organization focused on high-quality residential communities and resident experiences. This role supports a well-maintained, ultra-luxury residential building in Summit, NJ, with a strong emphasis on service, presentation, and attention to detail.

The Maintenance Associate will work as part of a professional, hands-on maintenance team in a well-maintained residential environment. The position offers a mix of daily building maintenance, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ years of maintenance experience; residential experience preferred

• Experience with work orders, apartment turns, painting, cleaning, and preventative maintenance

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi or similar software

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Organized with good time management skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Reliable and punctual; able to work overtime and participate in rotating on-call coverage

• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests and routine repairs in a timely manner

• Perform apartment turns, including make-ready, cleaning, painting, and general repairs

• Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance, safety, security, and cleanliness issues

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, door hardware, and general building repairs

• Maintain common areas, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, and parking areas

• Assist with preventative maintenance, snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance

• Maintain inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies

• Document work orders and maintenance activities using applicable software

• Provide professional customer service to residents and building staff

• Assist with other maintenance projects and duties as needed
