The Opportunity

A long established luxury custom home builder in the Hamptons is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high end residential projects in East Hampton. For over 30 years, this firm has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, discretion, and long term client relationships. Projects are architecturally significant, highly detailed, and executed to the highest standards.

This role is designed for a Project Manager who takes full ownership of their work, is comfortable being the face of the project on site, and understands what it takes to deliver complex custom homes without compromise.

The Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the complete execution of assigned projects from early planning through final turnover. You will maintain a consistent on site presence, lead all trade partners, and serve as the primary liaison between ownership, clients, architects, and consultants.

This is a hands on leadership role requiring strong field judgment, disciplined planning, and a refined client communication style appropriate for a luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full life cycle of custom residential projects from preconstruction handoff through completion

• Develop and actively manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and cost controls

• Lead and coordinate architects, designers, engineers, inspectors, and specialty trades

• Maintain daily oversight of field operations to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear updates and proactive problem solving

• Manage change orders with urgency and transparency, ensuring alignment with ownership and office teams

• Uphold the firm's standards for craftsmanship, finish quality, documentation, and professionalism

• Ensure accurate reporting, job cost tracking, and financial accountability throughout the project

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing ground up luxury custom homes

• Demonstrated experience delivering high end residential projects with demanding clients

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Bluebeam

• Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings

• Strong leadership presence with polished communication and client facing skills

• Detail driven, solutions oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate
