About the Role
Our superintendents manage all site activities for a construction project from mobilization to completion, by providing the knowledge, skill and experience to run day-to-day operations on the job site. The Project Superintendent's top priorities are safety and quality. The daily direction and coordination of the Project by the Superintendent ensures that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget and on schedule.
We are one of the leading commercial building GC/CM's located in Westchester County with projects in Westchester, Lower Hudson Valley, NYC & Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe project.
- Conduct constructability reviews.
- Coordinate construction trades.
- Pre-plan construction activities according to the project schedule.
- Prepare look-ahead schedule according to the project schedule.
- Manage manpower and materials.
- Monitor work progress and quality.
- Conduct daily site inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from and accredited college in engineering, architecture or business administration preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience in commercial construction for large construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Analytical problem-solving ability with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, ProjectSight a plus).
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
