Senior Construction Estimator National Experience
Location: Nassau County, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full Time
Compensation: $150,000 to $200,000 annually (flexible for highly qualified candidates)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with national estimating experience to support preconstruction, hard bid, and design build projects. This is a senior level, client facing role for an estimator who can independently manage complex estimates across multiple regions and project types.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed construction cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, general conditions, and project requirements
* Perform full scope take offs including bulk quantities, man hours, unit pricing, and MEP systems
* Review RFPs, plans, specifications, addenda, and design narratives
* Develop conceptual and preliminary estimates from early design documents
* Analyze historical project data and maintain regional and national cost databases
* Lead subcontractor and supplier pricing outreach and bid analysis
* Build and manage bidder lists customized per project
* Conduct plan reviews, site visits, and attend pre bid meetings
* Evaluate constructability, logistics, site access, and scheduling impacts
* Prepare detailed qualifications and assumptions
* Collaborate with project operations to develop construction management plans and schedules
* Prepare and review general conditions and project requirements
* Track actual project costs versus estimates as projects progress
* Present estimates internally and support client pricing deliverables
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of construction estimating experience
* National estimating experience required
* Strong background in hard bid, design build, and preconstruction services
* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and codes
* Strong attention to detail and quality control
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
* Field experience is a plus

* Microsoft Office Suite
* BuildingConnected or similar bid solicitation platforms
* Procore or similar project management software
* Microsoft Project or scheduling software
* OST, Sage Timberline, or similar estimating software preferred
