Summary

The Area Property Manager oversees daily operations for multiple residential communities, ensuring strong financial performance, resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and efficient property operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Staff Management

• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise onsite teams
• Support employee performance management and staff development
• Ensure smooth day-to-day property operations and maintenance coordination

Financial Management

• Manage budgets, reporting, rent collection, and expense control
• Monitor financial performance and support capital planning
• Oversee vendor relationships, invoices, and legal/compliance processes

Leasing & Marketing

• Drive occupancy and leasing performance
• Support marketing initiatives and monitor market trends
• Review leasing metrics and resident retention strategies

Resident Relations

• Address resident concerns and maintain high service standards
• Coordinate resident communication and community engagement programs

Compliance & Administration

• Maintain accurate records, lease documentation, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and housing regulations
• Respond to emergencies and support risk management efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 5+ years of property management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of applicable housing laws and regulations
• Valid real estate license and driver's license
• Ability to travel as needed and manage multiple priorities independently
