Project Manager - Boiler & Heating Systems

A growing NYC mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee boiler and heating system installation projects across multifamily and commercial buildings throughout New York City.

The company focuses on boiler replacements, steam and hydronic heating systems, oil to gas conversions, domestic hot water systems, heating system upgrades, repiping, and energy efficiency retrofit projects.

This role is ideal for someone with experience managing boiler installations, heating system upgrades, or plumbing/mechanical projects in NYC buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage boiler installation and heating system projects from kickoff through completion

• Review project drawings, scopes, budgets, and contracts

• Build and maintain project schedules to ensure projects stay on track

• Coordinate field crews, plumbers, and subcontractors performing boiler and heating system installations

• Manage permits, inspections, and signoffs with NYC agencies

• Track project budgets, labor hours, and material costs

• Prepare and manage project change orders

• Attend project meetings with engineers, property managers, and building ownership

• Coordinate site access with building supers and property teams

• Maintain project documentation, reports, and project closeout

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction project management experience

• Experience managing boiler systems, steam heating systems, hydronic heating systems, or domestic hot water systems

• Experience working with mechanical contractors, plumbing contractors, or heating contractors

• Knowledge of boilers, pumps, gas piping, fuel systems, and heating system upgrades

• Experience working in NYC multifamily or commercial buildings

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate field teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $120,000 - $150,000
