Senior Project Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all facets of project accounting, including job cost tracking and budget integrity
• Leverage Vista Viewpoint software to record, monitor, and analyze financial data accurately
• Prepare and update AIA requisitions, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
• Review, code, and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices with attention to contractual terms
• Ensure timely and accurate percentage completion accounting practices
• Develop and deliver financial reports tailored for project managers, senior leadership, and clients
• Collaborate with auditors to support internal and external audit activities
• Partner closely with project teams to maintain real-time financial transparency
• Detect, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in construction project accounting or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in percentage completion accounting
• Proficiency with Vista Viewpoint financial systems
• Solid experience working with AIA requisitions
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• An organized, deadline-oriented approach with a commitment to financial integrity
