Senior Real Estate Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GL account analysis
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries across property and corporate entities
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for internal reporting
• Support the preparation of investor reporting, including periodic financial packages and distribution notices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures as the firm scales
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate records across multiple entities and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Support ad-hoc projects across the portfolio as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with a background in public accounting required
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Yardi Voyager a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities independently
