Construction - Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily

Our client is a well-established General Contractor specializing in Multifamily Construction Projects including full build-outs, renovations, and new construction. They are seeking a talented Assistant Project Manager to help assist with new and existing construction projects around the 5 boroughs of New York.

The Role:

  • Assist the project manager in project planning, project scheduling, cost monitoring, and cost control.

  • Negotiate/procure subcontractors/suppliers.

  • Effectively draft memos, reports, and documents.

  • Communicate project requirements to subcontractors and vendors.

  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of change orders.

  • Analyze drawings for changes and clarifications.

  • Review Submittals, RFI's, and bids etc. from subcontractors and with owners.

  • Perform any other duties as required.

The Person:

  • Bachelors Degree with an Engineering or Construction Management focus.

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience as an Assistant Project Manager for a General Contractor.

  • Significant experience with residential construction projects including Luxury Residential, Affordable Housing, and Market-Rate Housing.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for assigned tasks.

  • Commutable throughout the 5 boroughs of New York.
